Band Camp Begins Soon!
It’s time to gear up—Summer Band Camp is just around the corner! Attendance is required for all band students. Be sure to read carefully, as there are a few updates to lunch times and uniform fittings. Let’s kick off the 2025–2026 season strong!
Start Dates:

Leadership, Percussion & Color Guard: Start Monday, July 21 · 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

All Band Members: Start Wednesday, July 23 · 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
(Note: Wednesday evening is also Prep Day)
What to Wear:
All students must wear black shorts and a white Cougar Band practice shirt during outdoor rehearsals. One practice shirt will be distributed on Wednesday, along with any previously ordered extras at Prep Day.
Timing Reminder:
The times listed below are start and end times of practice. Students need to arrive early enough to be ready at start time and stay afterward to store instruments.

Clark Band Hall – Enter through the Teacher Parking Lot next to Lockhill Elementary

Marching Pad – Located at the end of the student parking lot near the train tracks
Drop-off is at the Band Hall/Teacher Parking Lot
🗓 Band Camp Schedule:
Week 1: Wednesday, July 23 – Friday, August 1 (Weekdays Only)

7:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. · Outdoor Visual Block

10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. · Lunch on your own (updated from previous announcements)

12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. · Indoor Music Block
Week 2: Monday, August 4 – Friday, August 8

7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. · Morning Rehearsal

4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. · Evening Rehearsal
The Band Hall will remain open in the afternoons for sectionals or indoor rehearsals.

🎒 What to Bring:

Black shorts / White practice shirt (required)

Tennis shoes only (no slides, Crocs, sandals, or slip-ons)

Water jug (Cougar band jugs will be available soon if you don’t have one yet)

Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses

Lunch or lunch money

Instrument accessories (reeds, oils, etc.)

Marching lyre & flip folder (specific to your instrument)

Knee pads (for kneeling on asphalt)

Beach towel (for outdoor conditioning)
